Heavy rain in Lahore floods low-lying areas, with more rain expected, says Meteorological Department.
Lahore: (RightNow) Heavy monsoon rain in Lahore has reached a century in millimeters. Various parts of the city are experiencing water accumulation.
According to the Meteorological Department, 104 millimeters of rain was recorded in the airport area of Lahore. Jail Road received 102 millimeters, while Mughalpura saw 32.8 millimeters of rain.
In Ittehad, 9 millimeters and Gulberg recorded 10.8 millimeters of rain. Hadiara Defense Road saw 57.6 millimeters, and Manawan area received 57 millimeters of rain.
Due to the rain, many low-lying areas in Lahore are flooded. Relevant authorities are working on drainage efforts to manage the situation.
It is noteworthy that during the monsoon, Lahore often experiences heavy rains, affecting urban life and causing drainage issues.
