A motorcyclist in Lahore’s Shadman area died due to alleged negligence by a traffic warden, as revealed by CCTV footage.
Lahore: (RightNow) A motorcyclist died in Lahore’s Shadman area due to alleged negligence by a traffic warden. CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced.
The footage shows the traffic warden suddenly stepping onto the road to stop the motorcyclist. As a result, the young man collided with the warden and crashed into the pavement, sustaining severe head injuries.
The severely injured motorcyclist, Zain, was immediately taken to Services Hospital. Zain battled for life for five days but succumbed to his injuries.
According to a traffic police spokesperson, the incident occurred on the evening of August 26 at the Shadman Market U-turn. The traffic assistant signaled the helmetless motorcyclist to stop, leading to the collision.
It is noteworthy that Traffic Assistant Sultan Haq was discharged from the hospital after receiving medical aid. The CTO has taken notice of the incident and ordered an inquiry by the SSP of the Saddar Zone.
