Karachi: (RightNow) Four armed robbers attacked the Edhi Center in Sohrab Goth, Karachi, stealing Rs 6.5 million. The incident occurred on Friday when the robbers held the staff hostage.

According to Edhi officials, the money was meant for the salaries of over 200 employees. The robbers struck as the staff returned from the bank with the cash.

Upon receiving the report, police became active and started investigating the matter. CCTV footage of the robbery has been obtained, clearly showing the suspects.

Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjhar has taken notice of the incident and ordered action against the robbers. Police are using the CCTV footage to identify and arrest the culprits.

It is noteworthy that the Edhi Center in Karachi is renowned for its charitable work, and the stolen money was intended for employee salaries.
