Advocate General Islamabad confirms Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi have better than B-Class facilities, not solitary confinement.
Islamabad: (RightNow) Advocate General Islamabad Naveed Hayat Malik states Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi are not in solitary confinement but are provided with facilities better than B-Class.
Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro heard the case in Islamabad High Court. Barrister Salman Safdar informed the court that Imran Khan’s eyesight is deteriorating, although he has no complaints about food and security.
The Advocate General informed the court that according to the jail superintendent’s report, Imran Khan has the freedom to move within a compound consisting of 7 cells and has access to TV, newspapers, and books.
It is noteworthy that Barrister Salman Safdar mentioned in court that Imran Khan’s 68-year-old sister was not allowed to meet him, and he has not been allowed telephonic conversations with his sons.
The court has directed the parties to submit written submissions for an appropriate order to be issued.
