Sydney: (RightNow) Twenty-one former Test cricket captains worldwide have written to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, demanding a medical assessment and proper treatment for Imran Khan. Australian captain Pat Cummins has also announced his support for this demand.

The letter stated that the Supreme Court had ordered Imran Khan to be transferred to a hospital and examined by a medical board. However, his hospital stay was limited to a few hours, and a government team conducted his examination.

The former captains have called for a complete examination by the medical board, the restoration of weekly family visits, and the provision of immediate treatment.

This letter was written by Imran Khan’s former cricket colleagues, not as politicians. The former captains stated they do not wish to interfere in Pakistan’s internal affairs.

It is noteworthy that in February, 14 former captains also expressed concern over Imran Khan’s health. Pat Cummins posted a message on Twitter supporting Imran Khan and expressed hope for compliance with the court order.
