Islamabad: (RightNow) The Supreme Court has rejected the request for an urgent hearing on the contempt of court petition related to Imran Khan’s hospital transfer. Imran Khan’s sister, Uzma Khan, filed the petition stating that his health is deteriorating.

Uzma Khan claimed that the contempt of court petition was filed due to the failure to transfer Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital. She requested an immediate hearing on the matter.

The Supreme Court had ordered on August 18 to transfer Imran Khan to a private hospital. The court also directed the formation of a special medical board for his examination.

The petitioner informed the court that the Registrar’s Office had rejected the initial petition. She approached the court again, requesting an urgent hearing considering Imran Khan’s health condition.

It is noteworthy that the case regarding Imran Khan’s hospital transfer is scheduled for hearing on September 16. The contempt of court petition will also be heard on the same day.
