Black Sea: (RightNow) A Ukrainian drone attack has sunk the Russian-owned cargo ship ‘Janina’. According to the Russian company Rosatom, all 17 individuals aboard were safely rescued.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky states that Ukrainian forces targeted three oil refineries in Russia’s Bashkortostan region. These refineries process millions of tons of crude oil and are located 1,600 kilometers from Ukraine’s border.

Russia’s nuclear energy company Rosatom has labeled the attack as maritime piracy. The company reported that Ukrainian drones attacked the cargo ship near the Russian port of Novorossiysk in the Black Sea.

These attacks aim to damage Russian war machinery. Ukraine claims Russia transports oil and other goods via the Black Sea.

It is noteworthy that the war between Russia and Ukraine has been ongoing for nearly four and a half years. Ukraine has targeted Russian ships multiple times, while Russia has also attacked Ukrainian ports.
