Karachi: (Right Now News). Due to the current situation in the Middle East, passport offices across Sindh, including Karachi, have seen a 50% decrease in applicants.

The decline in new and renewed passport applications has also affected revenue. Reasons for this drop include a decrease in work and tourist visa issuances. In Karachi, daily applicants have reduced from 2,000 to around 800-900.

In other cities of Sindh, the number of applicants at passport offices has decreased from 3,000 to between 1,200 and 1,500. Authorities expect the number of applicants to return to previous levels if peace is restored in the Middle East.

In light of the current situation at passport offices, officials have assured measures to facilitate applicants.

It is noteworthy that ongoing conflicts in the Middle East have led to a decrease in visa applications in Pakistan, impacting passport offices as well.
