Rawalpindi: (RightNow) The Rawalpindi High Court has accepted a petition against the indefinite closure of hotels, motels, and guest houses due to the Jamaat-e-Islami and PTI long march.

Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan of the Rawalpindi High Court issued notices to the Home Department, Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, and CPO during the hearing of this petition.

The petition was filed by Ihtisham-ul-Haq, a leader of the Central Traders Association, stating that businesses are already affected and hotel closures are unacceptable.

The petition requests that the closure of hotels, motels, and rest houses be declared illegal, as the administration is enforcing closures through verbal orders.

It is noteworthy that the court has accepted the petition for hearing and adjourned the proceedings indefinitely.
