Rawalpindi: (RightNow) In light of national circumstances, security in Rawalpindi’s Red Zone is on high alert. Comprehensive measures are in place to protect key government buildings.

Eight special police checkpoints have been established from Mall Road to Old Airport in Rawalpindi. Checkpoints are also set up at MH Chowk, TM Flashman Chowk, and Saddar Metro Station.

Officers are deployed at these checkpoints in two 12-hour shifts, and the Red Zone is divided into four sectors with continuous mobile police patrols.

Elite commandos are also assigned to security duties alongside the police. The Dolphin Force is tasked with 24-hour patrolling in specific areas.

It is noteworthy that SSP Operations Malik Tariq Mehmood oversees the Red Zone security, while CPO Rawalpindi Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera is responsible for command and control.
