Islamabad: (RightNow). In the past two years, 799 Pakistani workers have died in various accidents abroad. The highest number of deaths occurred in Saudi Arabia.

According to the Ministry of Interior, 799 Pakistani workers faced accidents in 13 countries. In Saudi Arabia, 575 workers died, while in the United Arab Emirates, 104 workers lost their lives. Malaysia reported 35 deaths, and Libya reported 13.

The report states that 10 workers died in the UK, 19 in Qatar, 16 in Oman, 9 in Bahrain, 6 in Turkey, and 3 in Spain. Italy and Germany each reported 2 deaths.

Families of the deceased received 1.3 billion rupees, benefiting 3,488 families. Payments were also facilitated from Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain.

It is noteworthy that Pakistani missions provided 752.9 million rupees to 294 families.
