New York: (RightNow) Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to waive visa requirements for diplomatic, official, and special passport holders. This agreement was reached during the United Nations General Assembly session in New York.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan signed the agreement. Ishaq Dar stated that this will further strengthen ties between the two countries.

Ishaq Dar expressed on X that this step will aid in promoting bilateral relations. He further mentioned that institutional cooperation will also increase.

Following the agreement, close cooperation in various sectors, including defense, will continue between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Regular contact between high-level officials of both countries is ongoing.

It is noteworthy that on August 7, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey signed a joint defense agreement aimed at strengthening collective security.
