Punjab: (RightNow) Wildlife rangers in Punjab have conducted operations in various areas following the arrival of migratory birds. These operations have resulted in the arrest of 12 illegal hunters.

During the operations, 13 quail netting gears were seized, and fines totaling 3 lakh 55 thousand rupees were imposed on five hunters. Cases have also been registered against seven individuals.

A large flock of rare cranes has been spotted in the Bahawalpur region. A fawn of the Chinkara deer has been relocated to a safe location.

In Minchinabad, alleged quail hunters fired at wildlife rangers. In Rajanpur, two duck hunters were fined 70 thousand rupees.

It is noteworthy that wildlife rangers in Punjab continue their operations to curb illegal hunting, aiding in the protection of rare birds and animals.
