Preparations for SAF Games 2027 are underway, with over 6,000 athletes expected.
Islamabad: (RightNow) The South Asian Olympic Council has approved the SAF Games 2027. The event will take place from April 4 to 11.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting to discuss preparations for the SAF Games. Prime Minister’s Advisor Tariq Bajwa and other officials attended the meeting.
The SAF Games will feature 28 sports, with over 6,000 athletes and officials participating. The competitions will be held in Islamabad, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Deputy Prime Minister instructed to maintain coordination, complete venues on time, and ensure high management standards. Approval was also given for the appointment of a national coordinator and the formation of various committees.
It is noteworthy that the steering committee is instructed to meet monthly to review preparations.
