On Instagram, Brian Lara expressed that despite a few encounters on the cricket field, he holds respect for Imran Khan. He has shown sympathy for Khan’s situation.

Lara further mentioned that he stands with former international captains demanding medical facilities and dignity for Imran Khan. He emphasized that this issue is about humanity, not politics.

It is noteworthy that 22 international cricketers wrote to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, appealing for medical treatment for Imran Khan. Several former captains were among these cricketers.

Remember, Imran Khan has been in jail since August 2023, facing multiple cases. Various reports regarding his health have also surfaced.
