Islamabad: (RightNow) A fire in the children’s nursery at PIMS Hospital has led the Senate Health Committee to express dissatisfaction with the hospital administration’s responses. The committee demands the suspension of doctors and staff on duty during the incident.

According to hospital officials, the cause of the fire remains unclear. Dr. Mahesh Kumar claims that CCTV footage does not reveal the fire’s origin. He has announced an independent investigation into the incident.

The committee has decided to convene a meeting at the hospital, inviting PTI senators. The hospital administration has formed a special committee led by Professor Dr. Atif Inam to present a report within 48 hours.

The fire incident at PIMS Hospital’s nursery has sparked public outrage. The Federal Health Minister stated that strict action will be taken against those responsible.
