Islamabad: (RightNow) A shocking revelation has emerged about the lack of a fire safety NOC at PIMS Hospital. Sources have reported inadequate fire safety arrangements at the hospital.

According to sources, the Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority’s office also lacks proper fire safety measures. The authority itself does not possess a fire safety completion certificate.

Sources revealed that the authority renews licenses without proper fire safety arrangements. For license renewal, they rely on rescue training photos taken annually in November and December.

The CDA has written to the authority twice, urging them not to issue certificates without fire safety arrangements. However, no response has been received from the authority.

It is important to note that on Wednesday morning, a fire in the nursery of the gynecology ward at PIMS Hospital resulted in the tragic death of 14 newborns.
