Lahore: (RightNow) Rain is forecasted to continue across various districts of Punjab until August 23. According to PDMA (Provincial Disaster Management Authority), monsoon rains are expected in the next 24 hours.

In the last 24 hours, Sialkot received 87 mm of rain, while Murree and Narowal recorded 53 mm. Rawalpindi, Gujrat, and Attock also experienced light rain.

PDMA predicts further rain in Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, and other areas. There is a risk of urban flooding in major cities.

Authorities have been instructed to remain alert in case of urban flooding in major cities. Health departments and other agencies have also been advised to stay prepared.

It is noteworthy that reports of deaths due to collapsing houses during monsoon rains have been received. Citizens are urged to stay in safe locations.
