Dealers’ margin increase on petrol and diesel may raise prices, burdening public.
Islamabad: (RightNow). The government has increased the dealers’ margin on petrol and diesel. The margin has been raised by Rs 1.34 per liter, effective from midnight.
A notification has been issued by the Cabinet Division. The dealers’ margin on petrol is now Rs 9.98 per liter, with the same increase applied to diesel.
Sources indicate that the previous margin on petrol and diesel was Rs 8.64 per liter. This increase aims to cover the delivery costs of petroleum products.
The rise in margin is expected to further increase petrol and diesel prices, adding to the public’s burden. This step is taken to improve the economic situation.
It is noteworthy that there has been a global increase in petroleum product prices recently, impacting the country as well.
