Islamabad: (RightNow) A Houthi attack in the Red Sea has resulted in the deaths of 3 Pakistani citizens. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has strongly condemned the attack.

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased Pakistanis in a statement on social media platform X. He also mentioned that one Pakistani citizen was injured.

Ishaq Dar stated that attacks on non-combatant commercial ships violate international laws. Pakistan is in contact with Saudi authorities and the Yemeni government.

The Foreign Minister has instructed the Pakistani embassy in Riyadh to arrange for the repatriation of the deceased Pakistanis’ bodies and to assist the injured citizen.

It is noteworthy that Yemeni government and coast guard sources reported yesterday that a cargo ship in the Red Sea was attacked by Houthis, resulting in 3 fatalities.
