Vienna University study finds first brand created in Saudi Arabia 3600 years ago, with global demand.
Riyadh: (RightNow) According to a study by Vienna University, the world’s first brand was created approximately 3600 years ago in Saudi Arabia. Artists of that era painted images of animals and human rituals on clay pots.
These products became famous under the brand name ‘Al-Qurayyah Painted Pottery,’ which was in demand internationally. Even foreign artists attempted to replicate this brand.
Al-Qurayyah was a large town covering 300 hectares, the second-largest ancient town after Tayma in Saudi Arabia, but it has now turned into ruins.
This research has been published in the prestigious American scientific journal ‘PLOS ONE,’ which holds significance for archaeologists.
It is noteworthy that places like Tayma and Al-Qurayyah contain important ancient historical sites, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s historical significance.
