Sohail Afridi clarifies PTI’s long march aims for access to Imran Khan, not his release.
Peshawar: (RightNow) Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, states that the purpose of PTI’s long march is not the release of PTI founder Imran Khan, but to gain access to him. He shared this in a special interview.
Sohail Afridi revealed that the long march is scheduled for September 27, which he will personally lead. It will not be a one-day event, and they will not return after reaching Islamabad.
The Chief Minister mentioned that the long march was announced after consultations with PTI and Tehreek Tahafuz-e-Ain Pakistan leaders. Aleema Khan will also be part of the movement.
He further emphasized that the march aims for access to Imran Khan, not his release, which will occur according to the constitution and law.
It is noteworthy that the date of September 27 for the long march was chosen to allow adequate time for weather and preparation.
