Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz introduces a scheme to provide 1 lakh female students with free electric bikes.
Lahore: (RightNow) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched an electric bike scheme for female students. Under this initiative, 1 lakh female students in Punjab will receive free electric bikes.
According to the program, female students will receive bikes completely free, while male students can purchase them on easy installments. The scheme aims to reduce travel difficulties for female students.
Eligibility requires applicants to be at least 18 years old and enrolled in a recognized college or university. A Punjab domicile and a motorcycle driving license are mandatory.
Notably, only one person per family will be granted an electric bike. Applications will be accepted exclusively through the online portal.
It is important to note that this scheme is run by the Punjab government to provide travel facilities to female students. Applicants must submit accurate documents.
