Yunnan: (RightNow) A new 288-meter high lift has been constructed in China’s Yunnan province to ease the school commute for children. The lift aims to simplify the challenging mountainous route.

In 2022, a 268-meter high lift named Qingyun Leader was built in the Nuozhadu Grand Canyon. This lift allowed children to reach school in minutes instead of a three-hour climb on dangerous mountain paths.

However, the lift’s popularity among tourists increased congestion, causing long waits for children.

Now, a second lift named Fuyao, standing 288 meters tall, has been built, reducing wait times by half. This lift is faster and more spacious compared to the first.

It is noteworthy that the school journey for children used to take three hours, but with the new lift, it now takes only 30 minutes.
