Ishaq Dar visits Nepal Embassy, offers condolences and support to flood victims.
Islamabad: (RightNow) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar visited the Nepal Embassy in Islamabad. He expressed condolences for those killed in recent floods and landslides in Nepal by writing in the condolence book.
Ishaq Dar offered condolences to the families of the deceased and expressed solidarity with the government and people of Nepal. He stated that Pakistan stands with Nepal.
Ishaq Dar highlighted that climate change is disproportionately affecting countries in the region, causing severe damage to human lives, livelihoods, and infrastructure.
The Deputy Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s support for Nepal’s relief and rehabilitation efforts. He assured that Pakistan is ready to provide all possible assistance.
It is noteworthy that recent floods and landslides in Nepal have resulted in several deaths and displacements. Regional cooperation is needed to tackle natural disasters.
