Swat: (RightNow) A glacier burst in the Kalam Valley of Matiltan has affected 7 mountaineers. The incident occurred while they were heading to the base camp of Little K2.

According to the rescue team, 3 mountaineers were injured and have been transferred to Saidu Sharif Hospital. The injured are from Rawalpindi.

Rescue officials stated that a medical team was dispatched on the district emergency officer’s instructions. Initial medical aid has been provided to the injured.

The incident took place in a remote and difficult-to-access area, causing challenges in rescue operations. The search for the missing person is ongoing.

It is noteworthy that mountaineer Syed Ali Shah from Khwazakhela is missing. Three mountaineers remained unharmed in the incident.
