Karachi: (RightNow). The number of HIV-affected individuals at Kulsum Bai Valika Social Security SITE Hospital has reached 120. Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani announced the filing of FIRs against those involved.

Saeed Ghani stated in a press conference that over 10,500 people have been screened so far. HIV has been confirmed in 120 individuals. Treatment for affected children is ongoing in various major hospitals.

He mentioned that the inquiry report confirmed 78 cases and 6 deaths. Show-cause notices have been issued to 37 doctors and staff members.

Saeed Ghani further announced the establishment of a 2 billion endowment fund for affected children. Under the Sindh HIV Control Act, the identity of the victims will be kept confidential.

It is noteworthy that cases were reported before October 2025. HIV was also confirmed in 10 individuals at Landhi Social Security Hospital.
