Scotland: (RightNow) A study by the University of Glasgow reveals that spending more time sitting daily is harmful to health. The research analyzed data from over 91,000 individuals.

The study found that each additional hour of sitting increases the risk of cancer-related death. This data was sourced from the UK Biobank.

According to the research, light physical activities during sitting can reduce cancer risk by up to 12%. Experts published the findings in the journal PLOS Medicine.

The results of this study highlight that prolonged sitting is detrimental to health. Even light physical activities can offer health protection.
