Saeed Ghani rejects Sindh division in assembly, prioritizing unity over politics.
Karachi: (RightNow) Saeed Ghani, a leader of the Pakistan People’s Party, firmly rejects the division of Sindh in the Sindh Assembly. He emphasizes that the unity of Sindh is more important than politics and ministry, and they will not hesitate to make sacrifices if division is proposed.
During the Sindh Assembly session, Saeed Ghani stated that the assembly has constitutional authority only over Sindh’s matters. He added that there should be no interference from Sindh Assembly in the creation of new provinces in Punjab or Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Saeed Ghani further mentioned that if Punjab or Khyber Pakhtunkhwa forms new provincial units, the Pakistan People’s Party will support them. However, they will oppose any division within Sindh.
It is important to note that the issue of Sindh’s division has been discussed in the past, and the Sindh Assembly has always rejected such demands. The matter resurfaced following a speech by the Federal Interior Minister.
Sharjeel Memon stated that the discussions in the Sindh Assembly will be preserved and published as historical documents. Decisions should be made in provincial assemblies according to the constitution.
