Sri Lankan cricket team arrives in Islamabad for T20 series starting October 9.
Islamabad: (RightNow) The first contingent of the Sri Lankan cricket team has arrived in Islamabad for their tour of Pakistan. The 13-member squad received a warm welcome at Islamabad Airport, including 8 T20 players and 5 team management officials.
The remaining 5 players of the Sri Lankan squad are set to arrive in Islamabad on Tuesday. With their arrival, the Sri Lankan team will be complete.
The T20 series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will commence on October 9 in Rawalpindi. The remaining two matches of the series will also be held at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on October 11 and 13.
This series is crucial for both teams as it will impact their global T20 rankings.
It is noteworthy that the purpose of the Sri Lankan team’s visit to Pakistan is to enhance bilateral cricket relations and revive the sport.
