Bilawal Bhutto warns PTI of potential emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa if they don’t support federal efforts against terrorism.
Peshawar: (RightNow) Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has warned PTI leadership for not supporting the state against terrorism. At an event, Bilawal stated that if PTI does not cooperate with the federal government against terrorism, an emergency or governor’s rule might be imposed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He mentioned that terrorist incidents occur every other day in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while PTI focuses on politics. He expressed a desire to avoid imposing an emergency to combat terrorism. Bilawal noted that PTI’s protest has been largely successful, and Islamabad has been closed for 10 days.
Bilawal advised PTI to end the long march and seek a political solution, separating the political crisis from national interest. He mentioned that the issue of meeting with Imran Khan remains unresolved, with a deadlock over access to his personal physician.
It is noteworthy that the government had agreed to arrange a meeting between Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, Mehmood Khan Achakzai, and Imran Khan. However, Mehmood Khan Achakzai stated that a decision would be made after meeting Imran Khan.
Remember that recent PTI protests have caused a severe political crisis in Islamabad, with various political parties striving to find a solution.
