Islamabad: (RightNow) Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha have been re-arrested after their sentences were suspended by the Supreme Court. Following their appearance in the anti-terrorism court, both were sent to Adiala Jail on judicial remand.

During the court hearing, the police requested a 30-day physical remand. Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain rejected the request and ordered judicial remand instead.

The police have transferred both individuals back to Adiala Jail. Despite their release in a previous case, they were arrested again in a new case.

It is important to note that a case of anti-state narrative is registered against Imaan and Hadi at Kohsar Police Station. Shireen Mazari has termed the arrest illegal.

The Supreme Court had suspended their sentences and granted bail. However, due to the new case, their release was not possible.
