Petrol and Diesel Prices Surge by Rs 55 and Rs 38 in Pakistan

Petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan have increased significantly, adding financial strain on the public.

Islamabad: (RightNow) The prices of petroleum products in Pakistan continue to rise. In the last one and a half months, petrol prices have increased by Rs 55, while diesel prices have risen by Rs 38 per liter.

Since July 21, the price of petrol has surged from Rs 315.80 to Rs 370.80 per liter. Similarly, diesel prices have climbed from Rs 360 to Rs 398.04 per liter.

In just the last four days, petrol prices have increased by Rs 24.93 and diesel by Rs 20 per liter.

Along with the rise in petroleum prices, the levy rate has also been increased. The levy on diesel has been raised by Rs 14, from Rs 66 to Rs 80 per liter.

It is noteworthy that in the fiscal year 2025-26, the government collected Rs 1567 billion in petroleum levy, exceeding the target by Rs 99 billion.
