Islamabad: (RightNow) The federal government has increased petrol and diesel prices for the second consecutive day. The Ministry of Petroleum issued a notification for new prices effective September 16.

According to the notification, petrol price per liter has increased by Rs 4.10, now costing Rs 384.34 per liter. High-speed diesel price has risen by Rs 6.41.

The government states that the new petroleum product prices will be effective from midnight. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has approved the price adjustments.

This increase will further burden the public. Rising oil prices are causing inflation, affecting people’s daily lives.

It is noteworthy that global oil prices are rapidly changing. The government has decided to set prices daily, except on weekends when prices remain unchanged.
