WhatsApp introduces new features to enhance account security and prevent unauthorized access.
Karachi: (RightNow) WhatsApp has introduced new changes to enhance user account security. These changes aim to improve account protection and secure the login process.
WhatsApp’s two-step verification already protects accounts with a secret code. Even if an attacker obtains the verification code, an additional security step will be required.
Users currently lack the facility for strong passwords with letters, numbers, and special characters. However, new security features include passkeys, reducing reliance on traditional names and passwords.
Logging in with passkeys makes it harder for others to access a user’s account. Android users will receive more information upon receiving a call.
It is noteworthy that these WhatsApp changes help protect accounts from unauthorized access, fraud, and online threats.
