The Supreme Court has rejected the government’s objection to Imran Khan’s hospital transfer, stalling the process.
Islamabad: (RightNow) The Supreme Court has rejected the government’s objection regarding Imran Khan’s hospital transfer. The court has not allowed a review of the government’s request.
Sources have revealed that the Supreme Court’s Registrar Office raised objections to the government’s application yesterday. It was pointed out that the paper books accompanying the application were incomplete.
The Registrar Office has instructed that the application be refiled once the objections are addressed. Preparations are underway to refile the government’s application.
This news is significant as the Supreme Court had ordered Imran Khan’s transfer to Shifa Hospital 2 days ago. However, the government’s review request has stalled the process.
It is noteworthy that the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad filed the review request through the Advocate General against the decision to transfer Imran Khan to the hospital.
