Islamabad: (RightNow). PTI raised the issue of mistreatment of Pakistanis in the UAE in the National Assembly. Barrister Gohar stated that while the UAE is a friendly nation, there are concerns over visa issues. Asad Qaiser mentioned that Indian and American passport holders are allowed to travel, but Pakistanis are not.

Barrister Gohar highlighted that Pakistani visas are not being renewed upon expiration. He emphasized the need to take the parliament into confidence. He added that if terrorism continues, development will not occur, and this issue needs discussion.

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif mentioned his 12-14 years in the UAE, stating that the current situation for Pakistanis is due to those who tried to take sides in the recent conflict.

Khawaja Asif called for the preparation of a briefing on the Makkah Peace Agreement. He discussed the matter with opposition leader Mehmood Khan Achakzai, with Barrister Gohar also present.

It is noteworthy that the issue of mistreatment of Pakistanis in the UAE has been debated before. The role of parliament is crucial for further action on this matter.
