Cairo: (RightNow) Egypt is seriously considering joining the Mecca Defense Pact. This agreement includes Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aty stated that Egypt has deep relations with these countries, extending beyond the political sphere.

Badr Abdel Aty further mentioned that Egypt has been aware of this pact from the beginning and is conducting a comprehensive review of the matter.

According to Egypt’s constitutional and legal requirements, it is essential to review defense agreements to clarify responsibilities.

It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey recently signed a joint defense agreement, under which an attack on one country is considered an attack on all three.
