Riyadh: (RightNow) Yemeni Houthi rebels claim responsibility for an attack on an Aramco facility in Saudi Arabia’s Jizan province. The attack resulted in a fire at the facility, which has been extinguished.

According to the Houthis, the attack was carried out using drones. They further stated that this attack is a response to recent Saudi drone strikes in Yemen.

The Saudi Ministry of Energy confirmed that a fire broke out at the Jizan facility near the Red Sea. Firefighters acted swiftly to bring the blaze under control.

Saudi officials reported no casualties from the incident. This event highlights the escalating tensions in the region.

It is noteworthy that Houthi rebels have previously targeted Saudi installations in Jizan. The United Nations Security Council has condemned these attacks in pursuit of peace in Yemen.
