Islamabad: (RightNow) The discovery of high-quality lithium in Khairpur paves the way for local industry development.

Taking a significant step towards establishing Pakistan’s first local lithium industry, OGDCL has signed an agreement with PINS Tech. This agreement focuses on developing technology to extract lithium from geothermal brine in Khairpur district, Sindh.

OGDCL and PINS Tech have decided to implement the lithium extraction project through mutual cooperation. This project will enable commercial-scale lithium production.

The discovery of lithium marks a significant advancement in Pakistan’s mineral industry, potentially boosting the national economy. The local lithium industry will also create job opportunities.
