Islamabad: (RightNow). Efforts to reach political consensus on creating new provinces have intensified. Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf and Senator Talha Mahmood reiterated the demand for Hazara Province in a press conference. They stated that the movement for Hazara Province began in 2010 and is a unified voice across all sectors.

Sardar Muhammad Yousaf mentioned that all political parties agree on the establishment of Hazara Province. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly passed resolutions in favor of Hazara Province in 2014, 2018, and 2020. Bills for the establishment of Hazara Province have also been presented in the National Assembly and Senate.

The Federal Minister noted that seven young people from Hazara lost their lives in the 2010 movement. He emphasized that new provinces and administrative units are necessary. Senator Talha Mahmood added that the solution to national issues lies in new provinces, which will improve the economy.

In Lahore, National Dialogue Committee Chairman Mahmood Molvi suggested creating administrative units if there are objections to new provinces. Fawad Chaudhry stated that a national dialogue is essential, and the National Dialogue Committee is ready to provide a platform for it.

It is noteworthy that resolutions regarding Bahawalpur, South Punjab, and Hazara provinces exist, but current political parties are not implementing them. Muhammad Ali Durrani also expressed reservations about the current political system.
