Lahore: (RightNow) The Pakistan Bar Council has approved a significant resolution on the creation of new provinces during its 250th meeting. The council emphasized that the establishment of new provinces should align with the constitution, parliamentary process, and national consensus.

The meeting was chaired by Vice Chairman Chishti, with participation from members including Ahsan Bhoon, Tahir Nasrullah Warraich, and Amir Saeed Raan. The resolution stated that the creation of new provinces should be based on national interest.

The Bar Council urged all political parties to engage in dialogue for a sustainable solution that meets constitutional requirements. A national seminar is also planned, involving various political and legal representatives.

The resolution highlighted that the seminar aims to strengthen the federation and build national consensus on the issue of new provinces, ensuring comprehensive progress on constitutional matters.

It is noteworthy that the Pakistan Bar Council has clarified that the issue of creating new provinces should be advanced through constitutional and democratic means, necessitating a national dialogue.
