Swat: (RightNow) Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai has expressed deep sorrow over the suicide attack in Swat. She offered condolences to the affected families and called for improved security measures.

Malala wrote on social media that 17 people were martyred in the attack. She expressed sympathy, acknowledging the difficulty in comprehending the families’ grief.

Malala urged the government to prioritize the safety of citizens in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She emphasized the need to accelerate efforts against terrorism.

The attack occurred amid protests against militancy in the urban area. Malala also mentioned the desire for peace among the girls of Swat.

It is noteworthy that the suicide attack took place at the main gate of the Kabal police station in Swat. The attack resulted in 17 deaths and 19 injuries. According to police, the attacker was an Afghan national.
