Islamabad: (RightNow). Following the rise in petroleum, mobile phone, and internet service prices, there is a concern about an increase in medicine prices.

Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb chaired a cabinet committee meeting on medicine prices, attended by several ministers and officials.

The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) provided a briefing on the pricing of new medicines and related issues during the meeting.

The Finance Minister emphasized the need for transparent and evidence-based decisions on medicine prices to benefit the public.

It is noteworthy that an increase in medicine prices could affect patients’ affordability, while the government aims to consider patient convenience.
