Islamabad: (RightNow) Global oil prices are rising due to tensions between the US and Iran. Brent crude oil is priced at $96.54, while WTI is at $91.71. Murban crude oil has increased by $7 per barrel, reaching $106.

In Pakistan, petrol and diesel prices have also changed. The government has increased petrol prices by 1 rupee 8 paisa per liter, setting the new price at 343 rupees 87 paisa per liter.

Diesel prices have risen by 51 paisa, with the new price at 370 rupees 92 paisa per liter. These new prices for petrol and diesel are set for September 2.

OGRA has set the LPG price at 258 rupees 65 paisa per kilogram. This notification will be effective from September 2.

It is noteworthy that the increase in global oil prices is due to US-Iran tensions, which could impact Pakistan’s economy.
