Islamabad: (RightNow) Water levels in the Chenab River have risen significantly after India released water. The flow at Head Marala is recorded at 168,478 cusecs.

According to flood forecasts, the flow at Head Khanki is 125,110 cusecs, and at Head Qadirabad, it is 114,070 cusecs. These locations are experiencing low-level flooding.

The Ravi River’s Nala Ojh records a flow of 34,000 cusecs, Kot Naina 33,000 cusecs, and Nala Dek 18,483 cusecs, indicating moderate flooding.

Due to India’s water release, water levels in the Chenab and Ravi rivers have dangerously increased at several points.

Residents of low-lying areas are advised to evacuate immediately, and authorities are on high alert.
