Mumbai: (RightNow) Indian actor Darshan Zariwala has denied calling his wife Apara Mehta the ugliest woman. He stated that the claim was made due to a memory lapse.

Darshan Zariwala, speaking on Siddharth Kannan’s podcast, explained that Apara’s allegations are baseless and nothing of the sort happened in their relationship. According to Darshan, their personalities and life paths have diverged.

He further mentioned that Apara felt a change in the TV drama industry and returned to India for this reason. Darshan filed for divorce, but the judge dismissed it.

Darshan Zariwala revealed that he and Apara have been separated for 23 years but have not officially divorced. They married in 1982 and separated in 2003.

It is noteworthy that Darshan Zariwala has a daughter named Khushali Zariwala. He belongs to a Gujarati family and currently resides with Anahita Atalia.
