Islamabad: (RightNow) The new method for determining petroleum product prices has sparked controversy. The Petroleum Pumps Association has expressed concerns over the new policy.

The Petroleum Pumps Association has rejected the proposed decision to set prices daily. They state that this method will prove detrimental to pump owners.

According to the statement, the weekly pricing system has already affected pump owners. Determining prices on a daily basis will not be accepted.

The association claims they were not consulted in this decision. Weekly stock management and financial planning issues are arising.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Petroleum has instructed OGRA to publish plate rates on a daily basis.
