Western winds have entered the country, prompting a rain alert in various regions. Strong winds, thunderstorms, and hailstorms are expected, posing potential damage risks.
Lahore: (Right Now News) A rain alert has been issued for various cities across the country. According to PDMA Punjab, from April 16 to 19, upper regions of the province may experience strong winds, thunderstorms, and rain. Hailstorms are also possible in some areas.
The Meteorological Department has reported that a new series of western winds is entering the country. Its effects will be observed in Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Jhang, Lahore, Gujranwala, and Sialkot, among other regions.
PDMA has warned that during this period, weak infrastructure, electric poles, and signboards may be damaged. Crops are also at risk, and landslides are possible in mountainous areas.
According to the Meteorological Department, rain is expected in Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Nawabshah, and surrounding areas. Some places may experience strong winds and thunderstorms with rain.
It is important to note that rain and snowfall are expected in the upper regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.
