Peshawar: (Right Now News) In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, prices of insulin and 7 other drugs have increased. The price of insulin, used for diabetes treatment, has doubled, while the insulin injection device price has risen from 2,200 to 4,720 rupees.
Similarly, the price of indigestion and acidity medication pack has increased from 530 to 620 rupees. The price of vitamin and dietary supplement tablets has been set from 480 to 510 rupees.
It is further reported that the price of vitamin B deficiency medication has increased from 500 to 600 rupees. The price of thyroid treatment medication has been set from 85 to 290 rupees, while the price of typhoid treatment medication has risen from 805 to 930 rupees.
Authorities state that prices of several other life-saving drugs in the province have also increased. The rise in drug prices has caused a wave of concern among the public.
It should be noted that the increase in drug prices in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been a topic of discussion before. This move is again causing difficulties for the public.
